The drive receives power directly through the USB connector so there is no need for an external power source or batteries. The high-speed USB 2.0 is backward compatible with the older USB 1.1 standard; however, USB 1.1 only supports transfer rates of 12 Mbits/sec. Pros cheap, high capacity, no special drivers needed
Cons sort of big, sort of slow, intensely bright blue LED

I found out about the Seagate Pocket Drive when I started shopping for a replacement for my 512MB Flash memory stick, which had become full. I needed much high capacity, but didn't want to spend a couple of hundred dollars on it.
