Top 10 Musical Artists for Teens of 2010
The top music artists for this year so far.
Products Teen Fans May Enjoy
Justin Bieber:
A young teen superstar of only 16 years old, Justin Bieber has quickly won the hearts of many teenage and preteen girls after releasing his first hit single "One Time." He has produced 2 cds, My World and My World 2.0, which includes hits such as "Baby" and "One Less Lonely Girl." He has a very dynamic vocal range which benefits his r&b style perfectly. Love him or hate him, you have to admit he is a very talented kid.
Ke$ha
After gaining mass popularity with her song "tik tok", Ke$ha has become a well-known artist among teenagers. She has since also released hits "Blah Blah Blah" and "Your Love is A Drug" with a unique, pop and dance style. It's perfect music for parties and just having fun.
Miley Cyrus
Though she has been in the public eye for a while now, her talent just seems to be getting more and more amazing. "The Climb" has become one of the most played songs of 2010, with its inspirational message and beautiful melody. Attempting to shed her Hannah Montana image, she is trying to appeal to older teens through her career.
Lady Gaga
She blew up the music scene with the release of "Just Dance" in 2008, and since then has been producing hit after hit. Her extravagant style both musically and in image created a quick cult following of fans. She uses in depth plots in her music videos which also gains notariety. The music video for "Telephone" featuring Beyonce created mass controversy, but had over one million views the first week of its release. Even if you don't like her pop-techno styles of music, she has an amazing voice and is a recognizable face of our generation.
Greyson Chance
At the young age of 12, this amazingly talented kid has been signed after a month of releasing a video of him singing and playing piano at a school talent show. The 6th grader did an acoustic sounding cover of "papparazi" and stunned the crowd. This is probably the most talented kid of our generation, with a fantastic vocal range and ability to sing like an adult that has been trained their whole lives. Look out for him; he may have started off as a web sensation just a month ago, but I expect great things to come from him soon.
Jonas Brothers
First appearing on the scene in 2005, the Jonas Brothers fan base just keeps building. With the upcoming appearance in a Disney Original Movie, Camp Rock 2, they are sure to stay in the public eye and show their talent for both music and acting. Their clean songs are perfect for any age, which is suitable for Disney. Their vocal harmonies are incredible, and the 3 boys work together perfectly to form a great pop band.
Taylor Swift
After winning the 2009 best female video award, fans could see she is rising to the top. A young country sensation, her pop influence has been frequently requested on the radio as her fan base continues to grow. Her hits "Love Story" and "You Belong With Me" from her Fearless album are the most commonly heard country songs on popular radio stations today.
Eminem
Bursting back into the scene with the 2009 release of Relapse, Eminem shows the world that he still deserves to be known as one of the greatest rap artists of our time. Over 1.9 million copies of the album Relapse were sold in the United States alone, showing that his fan base still anticipates his newest releases. He is set to release a new album, Recovery, next month, which has already gained interest when hit song "Not Afraid" from the album was released as a single.
Drake
Drake has amazed his fans by proving that not only does he stand out as an actor, but also as a rapper, singer, and producer. Gaining many fans with his first hit release "Best I Ever Had", Drake continuously impresses us with unique lyrical flow and incredible beats. More from him will come, and I'm sure he'll release many more albums whilst his talent grows.
Jay Sean
Singer-songwriter Jay Sean has risen to the top of pop in the US, after 3 album releases. "Do You Remember" and "Down" are some of the most popular songs off his latest album, All or Nothing. His songs tend to reflect a theme of love, with a catchy beat that inspires listeners to want to dance and sing along. I'm hoping that he will release more albums soon, as he has become one of the most played male pop artists on radio within the past year.
